I was home schooled through elementary and high school, and decided I wanted to go the artist, crafts-person, trades-person, entrepreneur, or whatever-you'd-like-to-call-it route for a living.
I make all sorts of things - primarily jewelry - from home and I'm in the process of designing pieces (pictures below) and setting up an online store to sell them on.
Why I'm writing this blog:
In the meantime, like most artists, or 'starving artists', I could use a bit of spare cash (read: lots and lots of spare cash! lol!) I've been reading about how to make a passive income online for a long time now, but until recently, had not ventured to try it myself because of time constraints and other projects. However, now that I'm finally giving it a go, I want to share my experiences (good and bad) with others (like you!) via this blog and give them a chance to learn from all my crazy experiments. I hope it will serve as not only a source of information, but also encouragement. If I can do it, anyone can!
And other random things:
I have quite a collection of cats (7, to be exact: Humphrey, Henry, Orion, Inca, Belize, Lily, and George), all of whom are eager helpers in both my artistic and online pursuits (they're experts at things like: sleeping on the computer keyboard, stepping on wet paintings, laying on my reading material, etc., but I love them anyway!)
....Here's a slideshow of them...
I have a wonderful sister, mother, and father who encourage me and keep me motivated, and some pretty great friends as well, all of whom I'm very grateful for!
I like: writing, reading, painting, drawing, photography, sewing, knitting, crocheting, making jewelry, playing violin, cooking, riding bikes, hiking, walking, languages, travelling, and all sorts of other things.
...Some of my projects...
I have a huge interest in health and nutrition and I love reading about it. I follow a few paleo and primal nutrition blogs (I love Mark's Daily Apple!) and the Weston A. Price foundation.
... and I collect wine corks... The end!
